Roger is a native Oregonian, with ancestors arriving on the Oregon Trail.  Roger is also a native of Roseburg.  He is married, with four grown children, grandchildren and of course pets.  Roger enjoys outdoor activities, music and sports.

After 15 years in both residential and commercial real estate lending management with financial institutions, he established his own real estate loan company in 1987, and obtained his real estate license in 1989.  He has extensive experience in all types of real estate.  He owned and developed a ranch/small woodland for 15 years.  Roger has invested in and completed several small to medium development/investment projects.

Roger has also been active in a number of community activities, including board membership and/or fundraising for the Library Foundation, Roseburg Town Center, United Way, Phoenix School, YMCA swimming pool and skating rink, and UCAN.  He is an Eagle Scout and has been a scoutmaster, and has been a school board and budget committe member, and active in church leadership.
